FIR against BRS spokesperson Krishank over posts on Revanth Reddy family

Hyderabad Cyber Crime police registered an FIR against BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank and others on October 5. The case followed allegations he made about business interests linked to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's family.
An image of the FIR shared by Telugu Scribe lists Krishank, MR Media Telangana and others as accused. It records offences under Sections 353(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The FIR identifies the complainant as Sai Kumar, with an address listed as care of Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. Telangana Today identified him as Congress leader Mettu Sai Kumar.
The FIR records that the written complaint was received by the Cyber Crimes police at 10 pm on October 5. The occurrence is listed as online and prior to 9.59 pm that day, while the FIR number is obscured in the shared image.
Krishank had addressed a press conference at the BRS headquarters on October 3. He sought an Enforcement Directorate investigation into alleged business interests, assets and financial transactions involving the Chief Minister's family, The New Indian Express reported.
He alleged links involving Medicover Hospitals, Maxbien Pharma, Sahrudaya Healthcare, Geetha Automotive and corporate educational institutions. He also called for scrutiny of ownership, shareholding, beneficial ownership, funding and related-party transactions, according to The New Indian Express.
Krishank said he would withdraw his claims and apologise if the Chief Minister's family disproved them. Telugu Scribe posts from the press conference also quoted him as challenging the government to investigate his claims.
The allegations against Revanth Reddy's family have not been independently verified. The reports and social posts reviewed for this copy did not include a response from the Chief Minister or his family.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticised the FIR on Tuesday and accused the Congress government of using police cases to suppress questions. "File as many as you want," he said in an X post quoted by Telangana Today, adding that the BRS would continue making its allegations.
