Over 100 workers evacuated as massive fire breaks out at Baddi packaging unit

Over 100 workers were evacuated after a massive fire broke out at a packaging company in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh's Solan district, with seven fire tenders deployed to bring the blaze under control, police said on Tuesday, October 7.
According to police, the fire broke out at Winttech Packaging on Monday evening and quickly spread through the building, engulfing one floor of the company. Police and fire department teams rushed to the spot and launched efforts to douse the flames.
Around seven fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze, including four from Baddi, one from Nalagarh and two from nearby industrial units.
No casualties were reported in the incident, though the company suffered substantial losses. Baddi SDM Dr Sanjeev Kumar said the total extent of the loss would be assessed by teams from the concerned departments.
