Rana Daggubati launches Loca Loka in India

Rana Dabbubati, an household name after the hit of Bahubali, was in Delhi to launch his premium Tequila brand Loca Loka in India. Rana launched Loca Loka at a tasting event in where the three founders introduced guests to the brand's flavour profiles. Attendees sampled Blanco's bright agave-forward character and Reposado's oak-layered complexity, served neat and in curated cocktails designed to reflect India's evolving bar culture.
After this the award-winning tequila brand Loca Loka has officially entered the Indian market, marking a significant moment for the country's fast-expanding premium spirits segment. Co-founded by entrepreneur Sree Harsha Vadlamudi, actor Rana Daggubati, and composer Anirudh Ravichander, the brand brings its globally recognised Blanco and Reposado expressions to India after establishing a strong international presence.
Launched internationally in late 2024 across the US and Southeast Asia, Loca Loka has since expanded distribution to several global markets and collected medals at leading international spirits competitions. Though conceptualised in India, the tequila is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, blending traditional Mexican craftsmanship with Indian creative identity - a fusion reflected in its name, where "Loca" (Spanish for "crazy") meets "Loka" (Sanskrit for "world").
Loca Loka's India rollout begins in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, alongside key airport duty-free stores. The launch comes at a time when the Indian tequila market is experiencing rapid growth, projected to exceed USD 76 million in 2025.
Co-founder Rana Daggubati emphasised the brand's cultural identity: "This isn't just a bottle - it's a remix of Mexico's terroir and India's rhythm." Composer Anirudh Ravichander highlighted the distinctiveness of the product, revealing that the fermentation process was set to his own curated playlist.
Produced under the supervision of third-generation distiller Willy Bañuelos Ramírez in the Jalisco highlands, the tequila brings with it a legacy of precision. Speaking at the launch, Willy said India's appreciation for craftsmanship makes it a natural next step for the brand.
Loca Loka plans a year-long series of city activations, curated tastings and B2B partnerships with premium hotels, bars and duty-free outlets, positioning itself as a culturally fluent, craft-driven entrant in India's dynamic spirits landscape.
