Bomb threat at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace Hotel triggers security search

A bomb threat targeting Mumbai's iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel triggered a major security response on Sunday after an anonymous caller alerted authorities about a possible explosive device at the property.
Mumbai Police, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and other security agencies, immediately launched a comprehensive search operation across the hotel premises to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
Police conducted extensive checks covering the hotel's lobby, restaurants, banquet halls, parking areas and other sensitive locations. After a thorough inspection, officials confirmed that no suspicious object or explosive was found, and preliminary findings indicated that the threat was a hoax. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the caller and determine the motive behind the false alarm.
The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, one of Mumbai's most prominent landmarks, has remained under heightened security due to its historical significance. Police have urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and reiterated that strict action will be taken against those responsible for making false threat calls.
