A day after he called for doorstep surveys to identify beneficiaries under the ongoing public welfare campaign in the state capital, Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan, on Tuesday, interacted with officials and beneficiaries at service camps in various municipal wards.
Narayan inspected the Chief Minister's Public Welfare Campaign camp held in Ward 47, where he obtained information about various public welfare scheme cases and their resolution. He issued a warning to the camp organisers for failing to provide accurate information regarding the PM Svanidhi scheme and instructed them to improve their performance.
A total of 2,255 applications were received in the camps held on Tuesday in Wards 05, 47, and 77, of which 1,932 were resolved at the camp itself. A camp is scheduled for Wednesday in Ward 78 under Zone No. 17.
Narayan also inspected the camp held in Ward 47 under Zone No. 06. He obtained information about the cases related to various welfare schemes and their resolutions. Narayan spoke to beneficiaries and gathered information regarding their cases. He reiterated the importance of identifying eligible beneficiaries and resolving their cases promptly under the campaign.
Nearly 760 applications were received in Ward 05 under Zone No. 01, of which 441 were resolved on-site. In Ward 47 under Zone No. 06, all 843 applications were resolved, and in Ward 77 under Zone No. 17, 648 applications were received, all of which were resolved at the camp. In total, 2,255 applications were received in the camps held on Tuesday, with 1,932 applications resolved on-site.
A camp will be held on Wednesday in Ward 78 under Zone No. 17 as part of the Chief Minister’s Public Welfare Campaign.
The Municipal Commissioner is leading the drive to ensure 100% coverage of government welfare schemes within the jurisdiction of the civic body.
