The Madhya Pradesh Police has partnered with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) to provide essential computer training to newly recruited constables, enhancing their technical skills and improving the efficiency of field operations.
An official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday between the Police Training School in Bhauri and RGPV.
The MoU, effective for the next five years, aims to offer a Basic Computer Awareness Certificate Course to new constables, preparing them for the digital age. The signing ceremony was attended by Superintendent of Police Training School Rashmi Pandey, RGPV Vice Chancellor Rajiv Tripathi, Additional Director General of Police (Training) Sonali Mishra, Director of the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy Bhopal, Inspector of Police Training School Bhauri Sanjeev Maron, RGPV Registrar Dr. Mohan Sen, and Director of the School of Technology Jitendra Verma.
This initiative is part of the Madhya Pradesh Police’s broader strategy to collaborate with national and international institutions, including Ambedkar University Mhow, NLIU Bhopal and Delhi, Jagran Lake City Bhopal, Tata Social Sciences Mumbai, and Sheffield Hallam University in the UK.
The training program, set to begin in March 2025, will equip constables with digital skills, helping them adapt to the evolving demands of modern policing. This partnership is expected to significantly enhance the performance and capabilities of the state’s police force.
