Madhya Pradesh has the potential to become the dairy capital of the country: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that in the current scenario, India is one of the youngest country. In line with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, We have to make full use of youth power in national interest and development. Dairy technology opens a new evenue for the youth.

Academic degree course of Dairy Technology is being started in Vikram University, Ujjain, the place of education of Lord Krishna. Degree course in animal husbandry will now be provided to students in Ujjain along with Jabalpur. In future, this course will also be provided in other universities as per the National Education Policy 2020. CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the seminar organised by the Animal Husbandry Department and Vikram University on Sunday in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Vikram University Ujjain.

Chief Minister Yadav said that the skilled youth trained in dairy technology will take Madhya Pradesh to the top position in milk production with their strong will and hardwork using dairy technology.

India is the world's largest milk producer and Madhya Pradesh ranks third in the country with a 9% share in milk production. The average milk production in the state is 673 grams, while the national average is 471 grams. We should not be satisfied with these achievements. Considering the geographical location of the state, immense water resources and fertile land, we will make it the number-1 state in the country in the field of dairy by through integrated efforts in the right direction.

Yadav said that to make the state the dairy capital of the country, the government will also provide bonus to the cattle farmers on the basis of per liter purchase of milk. Along with this, the government is actively working to ensure that sufficient food is available for livestock. For this, new irrigation areas will be expanded. The Malwa region is also rich in agriculture and will now become rich in animal husbandry as well.

The welcome speech was given by Divisional Commissioner and Ujjain Milk Union Administrator Sanjay Gupta. He thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the benefits of agriculture and animal husbandry through Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river link project and Ken-Betwa river link projects. The Registrar proposed the vote of thanks in the programme.

The programme began with Saraswati Vandana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was given a guard of honour by NCC cadets at the venue. CM Dr. Yadav was welcomed by the Kul Guru of the University, Shri Arpan Bhardwaj, by presenting a shawl, shrifal and a memento amid the echo of Vedic hymns.

Yadav released the activity calendar of Vikram University. Rajya Sabha MP Balyogi Umeshnath Ji Maharaj, MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, DK Pandey, Shri Rajesh Kushwaha and university staff and a large number of students were present in the programme.
