A free dental check-up camp, organised by Dr. M.N. Khan at the Janata Dental Clinic on Kachhari Road in Garhwa city, came to a close today. Running from 10th December, the camp provided dental examinations for 735 individuals over 22 days. During this time, many patients also received complimentary toothpaste and medication.
Dr. Khan underscored the significance of dental hygiene, urging residents to brush their teeth twice daily for optimal cleanliness. He advised against consuming very cold water during the winter months and recommended opting for lukewarm water instead. He noted that individuals with minor cavities should consult a dentist for fillings. Furthermore, those experiencing tooth discolouration should check their drinking water quality; if it contains excessive fluoride, a change of source is advisable, along with consulting a dental professional.
Dr. Khan explained that the primary aim of the camp was to support the poor and underprivileged. Many individuals cannot afford dental treatments due to financial difficulties, making this camp a significant boon for those in need.
