Sunday, 05 January 2025 | PNS | Jamshedpur

A district-level coordination committee meeting, chaired by District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal, was held at the Collectorate Auditorium in Jamshedpur. The meeting brought together key officials, including Project Director ITDA  Deepak Chaudhary, ADM Law and Order  Aniket Sachan, SDM Dhalbhum  Shatabdi Majumdar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, and other departmental and block officers, to address pressing developmental and administrative issues.

The Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of seamless coordination among departments to ensure timely implementation of development schemes. He stressed that no project should be delayed due to a lack of collaboration, urging officials to prioritize public welfare and adhere to stipulated timelines.

A comprehensive review of pending High Court cases was undertaken, with directives issued to ensure timely filing of counter affidavits and proper documentation. For revenue-related cases, including those concerning mutation, JPLE, and HRC, officials were instructed to expedite notices, advertisements, and actions like attachment and confiscation. A target recovery of ₹2 crore per month in certificate cases was set.

The meeting also focused on land requisition and allocation for key projects, such as a sports complex in Chakulia Nagar Panchayat, a tribal museum, a science center, and a forensic science laboratory.  Mittal emphasized the importance of locating health sub-centers and Anganwadi centers in accessible areas to maximize community benefit. Officials were directed to submit requisitions directly to the Deputy Commissioner’s office to streamline processes.

Under the paddy procurement scheme, 23,000 farmers have already registered in the district. Block officers were tasked with raising awareness and encouraging farmers to sell paddy through registered channels like Lamps. Additionally, BDOs were instructed to prepare lists of eligible beneficiaries for the PM Kusum scheme and allocate spaces in Panchayat buildings for AI centers under the Animal Husbandry Department.

Efforts to promote the Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, which offers a 90% subsidy for livestock to disabled individuals, were prioritized. Similarly, the Parivar Hit Labh scheme, providing financial assistance to dependents of deceased earning members, was emphasized.

The meeting reviewed progress on various schemes, including the Jahersthan Nirman Yojana, fencing projects, and the construction of Adivasi Kala Kendra. Pending cases under CP Gram were directed to be resolved within three days.

Concerns about basic facilities like electricity and drinking water in remote schools and Anganwadi centers were addressed, with specific directives to install hand pumps in 309 centers and resolve electricity issues in 10 schools. Technical departments were urged to ensure the inclusion of essential facilities in project DPRs and maintain quality and timeliness in infrastructure development.

Highlighting the potential of the Ayushman Yojana,  Mittal urged hospital management to utilize the allocated funds effectively. He directed government health centers to engage private specialist doctors and procure necessary medical equipment to enhance healthcare delivery. This initiative aims to reduce patient referrals and strengthen services in Sadar Hospital and community health centers.
