No fly zones announced for President’s Ranchi visit

President Draupadi Murmu is coming to Ranchi on February 28 to attend the convocation ceremony of Central University of Jharkhand 9CUJ). Preparations are going on war footing for his arrival. The administration has become fully alert. Ranchi Police has made arrangements for three layers of security for the security of the President. A no-flying zone has been declared from the airport to CUJ on that day.

Apart from this, police force will be deployed on high-rise buildings in the area through which the President's convoy will cross.

It is noteworthy that there will be a no flying zone within a radius of 500 meters from Birsa Munda Airport to Dhurwa Roundabout, Sithio, Balalong, Gutuwa and ITBP Chowk to CUJ Manatu. There will be a ban on drones, paragliding and hot air balloons in this area. This order will be effective from 5 am to 10 pm on February 28. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Kumar Sinha had written a letter to the SDM for the no flying zone and explained the need to do so for security reasons. After this no fly zone was created.

Apart from about One thousand police forces, 45 magistrates have been deputed from the airport to the venue. This includes RAF, ZAP, District Force, IRB. The President's security will be monitored from the control room. There are strict instructions to all the deputed police personnel and magistrates not to be negligent in their duty. Sinha and Ranchi SSP, Chandan Sinha will personally keep an eye on the entire security system. The DC and the SSP held a meeting with officials and police officials on Saturday regarding security. During this period, a security blueprint was also prepared.

In this convocation, 64 students of session 2016-21 integrated course and session 2019-21 and 2020-22 two-year course will be given gold. PhD degree will be awarded on 25th February and 778 students will be awarded the degree. Apart from this, the Chancellor Medal will be given to 3 students. A total of 35 girls are included in 64 gold. White salwar-suit has been prescribed for girl students and white kurta-pajama has been prescribed for boys.

It is mandatory for the male members of Academic Council and Executive Council to wear cream coloured kurta and white coloured pajamas and for female members, it is mandatory to wear cream coloured saree. Khadi patta will be given to the students, Academic Council and Executive Council attending the function and silk patta will be given to the special guests attending the function by the University.
