Modi is forced third time Prime Minister: JMM

Saturday, 08 June 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Friday, targeted Prime Minister nominee Narendra Modi and said that Modi was elected leader in the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Friday before the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha. Today Modi ji gave his speech, which in itself shows that Modi is not a moral contender for the post of Prime Minister, he is being forcibly made to sit on the chair for the third time, the party said.

Addressing a press meet JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that in the words of Amit Shah, after 60 years a Government is coming for the third time. “We do a comparative study that Modi is coming after Nehru. We should also go back a little that when Jawahar Lal Nehru was coming for the third time in 1962, such a fracture was not mandated. The country had faith in the then Prime Minister. Today's people do not trust the Prime Minister,” he added.

“BJP did the work of hiding this real data. Today for the first time after 10 years Modi was forced to take the name of NDA. He did not take the name of BJP even once in his entire speech, which shows that his defeat as the leader of BJP is a matter of shame for him. In his address, he said that the seeds sown by respected Vajpayee, Bala Saheb Thackeray, Prakash Badal, George Fernandes, Sharad Yadav, today it has grown into a tree. For the first time in 10 years, we were forced to remember those leaders. Not even once was it said that Modi is the guarantee. In the entire election, he used to give a minimum of 45 minutes and maximum of one and a half hours of speech. In that, his name was mentioned at least 50 to 125 times. Modi is like this, Modi is like that, Modi does this, where has that tune gone today,” said Bhattacharya.

The party Spokesperson also said that Modi is saying that now the Government will run by consensus because he knows that this victory is not a moral victory. “This mandate rejects his leadership. Today he remembered NDA. Be it Jitan Ram Manjhi or Anupriya Patel, they were made to sit on the stage but one of his partners from Jharkhand, Sudesh Mahto, was insulted. He was not called on the stage. This shows what anger he has against Jharkhand. These people should work to bring Sarna Dharma Code and 27 per cent reservation for OBC in Modi's first cabinet meeting and in Parliament,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that Nitish will have to decide whether there will be a caste census or not.” Apart from that caste census, Sarna Dharma Code was passed unanimously from Jharkhand. Nine MPs were elected from here, including AJSU, they will have to decide whether it will be a part of the caste census or not. Nitish standing with him will have to tell whether the 27 per cent OBC reservation passed from Jharkhand will be given or not. Naidu, who is present there, will have to say whether CAA and NRC will be implemented or not because he has rejected it in his manifesto. You cannot get distracted by these questions. Get the Agniveer scheme abolished. There are 50 lakh vacancies in railways, banks and government offices, without delay, you start the work of filling them because you said that the road map is ready. Reduce inflation. Give GST money to the States. Non-BJP governments should get equal status. Their views should also be heard. Rights should be protected. Because very soon the internal conflict of NDA will come to the fore,” he added.

The party General Secretary said that the Prime Minister is talking about a competitive federal structure so this will decide whether the ED, IT, CBI vehicles will now go to UP, MP, Odisha.” Will all States get equal rights in Modi's new federal structure? Today we got an indication of the next five years. This Government will not last long due to internal conflict, this Government will fall very soon,” he added.
