Modi has ended scope for corruption, Rahul should work to save his party, says Athawale

Union minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should work to save his party while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to protect the constitution. The strong assault on corruption by the Modi government has broken the Congress’ back due to which the NDA will win more than 400 seats while the Congress will not be able to cross 40 seats in this parliamentary election, he said while addressing the media here on Thursday.

Athawale listed the various development works done during the 10 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “In the 2014 and 2019 parliament, PM Modi had bowed down before the constitution and stated that he will work to strengthen the constitution throughout his life. The development schemes launched for the backwards, Dalits and all other sections of society since then have also strengthened the constitution. The NDA headed by PM Modi is effectively working to protect and strengthen the constitution so Rahul Gandhi should work to save his party. The manner in which a corruption-free and transparent system has been established under Modi’s leadership, there is no scope left for the leaders of Congress and other opposition parties to indulge in corruption. Various chief ministers, ministers and other leaders of the INDIA bloc who were involved in scams are now in jail on corruption allegations. The BJP or NDA government doesn’t put anyone in jail as all this is taking place according to the legal procedure,” he said.

Athawale further alleged that with consistent improvement being achieved in the condition of Dalits and the backward sections through various public welfare schemes of the Modi government, the opposition is spreading propaganda about the constitution being under threat. As the head of the Republican Party of India, he also appealed to the Dalits and his workers to support the BJP in ensuring a third term of Modi as PM.
