The Annual Meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jharkhand State Council held on Tuesday saw the Governor C P Radhakrishnan, commending the proactive approach of CII towards shaping the future of industries in Jharkhand. The theme for this year's meeting, "Jharkhand towards a Competitive and Sustainable India@100," emphasized the significance of sustainability in industrial growth.
During the event, Radhakrishnan suggested that CII form specialized groups within Jharkhand to brainstorm and implement innovative ideas to foster industrialization in the state, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
In line with the theme, CII Jharkhand organized a session that brought together eminent speakers to deliberate on key tracks, including the Future of Steel, Global Supply Chain, Future of Automotive in India, Sustainable Energy, and Waste Management, along with Challenges and Opportunities in the Indian Start-Up Ecosystem. The discussions centered around strategies for industrialization and driving competitive growth in India.
The meeting also witnessed the announcement of the new leadership for CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2024-25. Ranjot Singh, Managing Director of Emdet Jamshedpur Pvt Ltd, a distinguished businessman with over 24 years of experience, was elected as the Chairman, while Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel Utilities & Infrastructure Services Ltd, assumed the role of Vice Chairman.
Singh, recognized for his achievements in auto parts manufacturing, foundry, and real estate, expressed his commitment to driving industrial development in the state. Sinha, a mechanical engineer with 32+ years of experience, outlined his vision for contributing to the success of critical projects and enhancing corporate services.
Notable speakers at the event included Ujjal Chakraborty, Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council, Suvendra Behera, Deputy Chairman of CII Eastern Region, and Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul, Chairman of CII Eastern Region. The discussions highlighted the need for sustainable growth, green energy initiatives, and strategic investment to propel Jharkhand towards becoming a key player in the global economy.
The event concluded with a consensus among participants that sustainable development in Jharkhand requires concrete guidance and strategic actions from businesses, marking a step towards a competitive and sustainable India by 2047.
