A case of brutality by extremists has come to light from Jharkhand. In Latehar district, extremists beat to death the clerk of an under-construction bridge. The extremists had demanded levy from the clerk, and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not pay the levy. After the threat, the extremists actually killed the clerk.
The case is from Ulgada village of Latehar district. A bridge is being constructed here. A clerk has been appointed for the construction of the bridge. Recently, the extremists had threatened the clerk demanding money. On not getting the money even after the threat, the extremists reached near the under-construction bridge on Thursday night and killed the clerk by hitting him with an axe.
After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot. The police tried to take the body for post-mortem but the villagers opposed it and did not allow the body to be lifted. Eyewitnesses said that many laborers were already present at the spot.
According to the information, the militants had threatened Munshi to leave the job. But despite this threat, the Munshi continued to work. On Thursday night, a large number of militants reached the bridge construction site and killed Munshi. Eyewitnesses said that the militants came armed with heavy weapons to kill the Munshi.
