Issuing a stern warning to the criminals, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday asked them to either abandon criminal activities or vacate the State. The State Government will enforce stringent measures against criminal activities, ensuring no offender escapes justice, he added.
Saini also commended the police for their prompt action in apprehending a criminal from Thailand, highlighting their efficient efforts. Interacting with the media persons during handing over the charge to the newly-appointed state president of BJP Mohanlal Badoli in Rohtak, Saini said that during the reign of the government before 2014, the crime figures in the State were high and FIRs were also not registered, whereas as per the instructions of the present government, the police is working with promptness and zero FIRs are being registered. Strict action is being taken by the government to curb crime.
The Chief Minister asserted that his party would secure a majority government in the State for the third consecutive term. He underscored that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Haryana's development trajectory would accelerate further.
On the occasion, BJP's newly-appointed state president Mohan Lal Badoli said that party workers will inform the people about the government's welfare schemes at the booth level so that all eligible people can take benefit of those schemes.
CM expresses grief over Martyrdom of Lance Naik Pradeep Nain
In another event, Saini visited Jajanwala village in Jind district to pay tribute to the martyr Lance Naik Pradeep Nain and offered condolences to the bereaved family. The Chief Minister also spoke with Pradeep’s father, Balwan Nain, and sister Manju Bala.
Saini described the martyr Pradeep Nain as a brave and valiant warrior who laid down his life for the country in an operation against terrorists. “Pradeep sacrificed himself for the honour and pride of the nation while defending his motherland…I salute such a great hero,” he said, adding, “I pray to God to give the bereaved family the strength to bear this unbearable loss. The government stands with Pradeep's family.”
He informed that according to the assistance policy provided by the Haryana Government for the families of martyrs, a financial aid of Rs one crore will be given to Pradeep Nain's family soon. He also stated that the family will receive any other assistance or facilities provided under the rules of the central government, state government, and army as soon as possible. Pradeep Nain was a commando in the Para Special Forces and was martyred on July 6 in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, while fighting terrorists. He is survived by his parents, wife, and sister.
