Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone marking the commencement of construction of a state-of-the-art Gaushala at Barkhedi Dob village on the outskirts of the state capital on Saturday.
The State Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy (Independent Charge), Lakhan Patel, will be present at the ceremony. The Gaushala will encompass a total of 25 acres, house 10,000 bovines, and boast modern maintenance methods, as well as a fully equipped medical ward. Continuous monitoring of the shelter will be carried out through CCTV
.With a planned outlay of Rs 15 crore, the Gaushala will be built by the Rural Engineering Department, while the Municipal Corporation and Animal Husbandry Department will be the nodal agencies.
The Smart City Project and District Panchayat are funding the project, which will run under the direct supervision of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC).The construction will take place in three phases, with the first phase catering for nearly 2,000 bovines.Fodder, green grass, and animal feed will be delivered to cows via conveyor belts.
