The city police claimed to have arrested two robbers who looted a mobile phone and Rs 5,000 by stabbing a businessman who operates an electronic shop in Jehangirabad area.
The police have recovered the victim's mobile from the accused. To identify the accused, the police had to check the footage of about 50 CCTV cameras. The father of one of the arrested accused is a goon of Shahjahanabad police station.
Police are questioning him regarding other incidents. To commit the incident, the accused had hit the vehicle due to which he fell and the accused escaped after looting at knifepoint.
According to information, Jitendra Shivvanshi, a resident of Old Subhash Nagar, runs an electronic shop.
He told the police that at around 6 pm on April 26, he was going from old Bhopal via Barkhedi Gate to his home in Old Subhash Nagar on his motorcycle. Shiv Mandir had reached near Raisen Road when two boys riding in Activa hit his bike and started arguing with him during which an accused snatched mobile, Rs 5000 cash at knife point.
Police searched the CCTV footage installed around the spot in which two suspects were nabbes.
Both confessed to robbing the businessman. Naseem Khan does the work of setting. Mohammad Talib sets up an ice cream stall at the Gandhi Nagar bus stand. Accused Naseem's father is a goon of police station Shahjahanabad.
