Thursday, 06 April 2023 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that all the Medical Officers and Community Health Officers, who received appointment letters in this auditorium of RIMS Auditorium on Wednesday, will have a big responsibility in the health sector of the state. “From today onwards, all of you working as an integral part of the government will further strengthen the health service in the state. Be it the people of rural areas or the people of urban areas the responsibility of protecting their health is now in your hands. You all know what is the condition of health in the remote areas of the state; it may be that you will face many challenges every day and every time during the discharge of your duty. How you face these challenges will depend on you,” he said in his address at the appointment letter distribution ceremony organized by the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department at RIMS Auditorium on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated all the newly appointed Medical Officers and AYUSH Community Health Officers. Expressing faith in all these newly appointed medical officers, the CM said, “I have full faith that all of you will discharge your duties with dedication, determination and complete honesty. Wherever you are posted, all of you will always be committed to ensure that the people of that place get better health facilities.”

Soren told the medical officers that from today the government is taking your responsibility and from today itself you have to take the responsibility of protecting the health of the poor and downtrodden people of this state. Today, along with the appointment letters to the medical officers, the newly constructed academy building in the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) campus of Ranchi was inaugurated and four important machines of the Cardiology and Radiology Department were also inaugurated. With the installation of machines equipped with these modern techniques, better health facilities can be provided to the patients arriving here for treatment. Many organizations are working in the field of health at their own level, but when it comes to Jharkhand, 70 to 80 per cent people come from rural areas and these rural people still have faith in government systems. Our government is working with commitment to provide better and better facilities to the people in the field of health.

The CM said that our government is moving forward with welfare thinking and taking a pledge to see people of all classes and communities equally. Today we are installing the latest technology machines in different departments of RIMS campus so that we can provide quality health care to the needy patients. He said that the responsibility of the health of the villagers of remote areas where it takes time to reach the rims or they are not able to reach RIMS, is now on the shoulders of all the newly appointed medical officers. In the coming times, many more important links will be added in the health sector. Today is just the beginning.

The CM said that earlier also our government had given appointment letters to a large number of AYUSH doctors and even today a large number of appointments are being given. In the coming time also, a large number of appointments will be made for doctors, nurses and other posts. He expressed confidence that working with determination, all of us together will make the vision of better health facilities a reality in the state.
