Himachal Governor pays tribute to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary
Shimla: Himachal Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Tuesday offered floral tributes to India's first woman Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary at the historic Ridge. Emphasizing the contribution of Indira Gandhi in the development of the Nation, the Governor said that the people of the country will always remember her for vision and decision-making. Popularly known as 'Iron Lady' of India she took bold decision and nationalization of banks was one of them. While interacting with the media, the Governor mentioned that 31st October is also the birth anniversary of 'Iron Man' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This day is also celebrated as National Unity Day throughout the country. The Governor also administered the oath of national unity to the gathering.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas -Run for Unity organized in Chandigarh

Hry Govt initiates 103 new works under Rural Augmentation programme for 5 districts
Chandigarh: Haryana Government on Tuesday decided to implement 103 new projects worth over Rs 51 crore under Rural Augmentation programme in 5 districts namely Fatehabad Panipat, Karnal, Panchkula and Ambala. The Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has accorded administrative approval for these projects to be implemented by the Public Health Engineering Department here in Chandigarh.
Hry CM inspects proposed parking site in Kalka
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that the Kali Mata Temple in Kalka is being developed as a grand temple, along with the Mata Mansa Devi Temple. He said that a parking facility would be built on land adjacent to the Kali Mata Temple to meet the needs of devotees. The Chief Minister was reviewing the progress of various ongoing development works in Kalka after participating as the chief guest in the ‘Run for Unity’ organised at Trident Hills, Pinjore in Panchkula.
Hry, first state in country to implement Property ID: Minister
Chandigarh: Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta on Tuesday said that Haryana is the first state in the country to implement Property ID. Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for the ‘Creation of New Property-ID under Normal and Tatkaal Scheme’ and recommended other states to adopt it. Gupta was addressing journalists at his office in Chandigarh. He said that 34 lakh properties falling within Lal Dora were integrated and included in the new Property ID and a new Property ID was created. This enables automatic data entry into the Property ID from property registries. He stated that out of 2274 unauthorised colonies, 494 have already been regularised, and work is in progress for others. Gupta said that nearly 850 colonies would be regularised by January 31, 2024.
Hry receives 3rd position in National Award for its outstanding performance during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
Chandigarh: Haryana has achieved significant milestones in the nationwide Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, earning the honour of being ranked third in the country for the multitude of programs organized during this celebration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the National Award to the state in recognition of achievements. Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, received this award during the closing ceremony of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Amrit Kalash Yatra in New Delhi. A jury was convened to select the best-performing States and Union Territories for the awards, and after comprehensive evaluation, Haryana was recommended as the third best performing State in the country. The Information, Public Relations and Language Department of the state was entrusted with the role of being the nodal department for organizing programs under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Administrative secretaries in Hry asked to submit memorandums in Hindi and English
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Tuesday urged all Administrative Secretaries to present memorandums for the Council of Ministers consideration in both Hindi and English. A letter addressed to them states, "It has been observed that, when submitting memorandums for Council of Ministers' consideration, the instructions issued by the Government in this regard have not been strictly adhered to by Administrative Departments. Memorandums have been consistently prepared and submitted solely in English and exemption is being taken for Hindi language. Henceforth, all administrative secretaries are requested to ensure that memorandums are submitted in both English and Hindi."
