PNB reports 327 per cent jump in Q2 profit
New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) reported 327.14 per cent jump in its net profit to Rs 1,756 crore in the September quarter. The bank's net profit in the year-ago quarter was Rs 411.27 crore. PNB's interest income rose 31 per cent to Rs 26,355 crore during the second quarter of the current fiscal, against Rs 20,154 crore a year ago. Gross NPAs as percentage of total loans declined to 6.96 per cent at the end of September, from 10.48 per cent last year.

PFC signs MoU with Ministry of Power
New Delhi: Power Finance Corporation Limited signed an MoU with the Ministry of Power (MoP) for FY 2023-24 and FY 2024-25 on 23 rd October 2023 as per the DPE's performance evaluation system. The MoU was signed by Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Power and Parminder Chopra (CMD, PFC) in the presence of senior officials of the Ministry of Power and PFC. PFC is the largest Maharatna CPSE and largest NBFC in India on a consolidated basis.
Sellers see 70 per cent rise
NEW DELHI: Sellers under the Walmart Vriddhi Supplier Development Program have recorded a year-on-year increase of over 70 per cent in sales through Flipkart's Big Billion Days Sale. Launched in 2019, Walmart Vriddhi said it has empowered 40,255 MSMEs, providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age. "This milestone reinforces our belief in the potential of these businesses to drive innovation and create lasting impact," said Jason Fremstad, Senior VP, Walmart Sourcing.
