The crisis in Chhattisgarh Congress Government deepened on Friday with State Cabinet Minister TS Singh Deo persistent on his demand for replacing Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Baghel met former party chief Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on Friday but the issues remained unresolved. Rahul is expected to visit the State next week to find a solution to the crisis.
While Baghel had to rush to Delhi to meet Rahul Gandhi, several MLAs of the warring factions also landed in Delhi to express their solidarity with either of them.
After meeting Rahul and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, the Chief Minister said Rahul Gandhi would visit Chhattisgarh next week.
