Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the “Amazing Thailand Road Show to India 2018" in Kolkata on 31st August 2018 at ITC Sonar. Around 30 sellers and representatives of Hotels, Resorts, Attractions, DMCs and Airlines from Thailand were present to showcase and promote their products to the travel trade in Kolkata.
Apart from travel agents and tour operators the roadshow was attended by top wedding planners and media publications in Kolkata.
The event started with a B to B session between the sellers from Thailand and buyers that included the travel agents, tour operators and wedding planners. This was followed by a destination presentation by Mr Isra Stapanaseth, Director TAT New Delhi. The presentation focused on promoting new destinations, products and experiences in Thailand for the Indian travellers.
The delegation from Thailand was led by Dr Walailak Noypayak - Executive Director, ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific Region Department who said " We are delighted to organize the Amazing Thailand Roadshow in the City of Joy- Kolkata. Thailand is already a very popular holiday and wedding celebration destination for people from Kolkata and rest of Bengal.
Thailand s close proximity to Kolkata and the availability of direct flights makes it the preferred destinations for travellers".
With many such events and roadshows in Kolkata in the future, TAT looks forward to welcoming more and more people to Amazing Thailand.
