A special workshop focussed on legal aspects of child care and better execution of Juvenile Justice Act 2000 was held here on Saturday.
“Childhood is the age meant for learning and understanding. It the duty of parents that they (children) receive proper care and protection,” said Chairman of Gariaband Municipal Council, Mileshwari Sahu adding, a child should be educated for better mental development so that they may grow as better citizens.
District Collector Niranjan Das in his views said that starting from birth, a child needs protection at various stages. It is our duty to ensure that the smile on child’s face doesn’t disappear. We will have to work for the protection of the child’s interest, he said.
