Doon celebrities say no to crackers this Diwali

When it comes to festival celebrations and parties, film fraternity always stand on the top of the list. Diwali is always considered as one of the special festivals among them and they don’t want to lose on this auspicious occasion.

The popular and known celebrities of Doon too have their special way of celebrating the festival of lights and they prefer a safe and eco-friendly Diwali celebrations. Doon girl, Vibha Anand, who has gained much recognition for her role of ‘Sugna’ in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu, aired on Colour channel, would like to celebrate the festival of Diwali in a peaceful manner.

Vibha who is performing as ‘Subhadra’ in the recent TV show Mahabharata, aired on Star Plus , said that she wanted to visit her hometown Dehradun to celebrate this festival but due to her busy schedule of shootings, she won’t be able to come. Vibha, who has also performed in number of other TV shows including Shri (Zee TV), Sanskar laxmi (Zee TV), Carry (Colours), said that this time she would be celebrating Diwali with half of her family members including father and brother here in Mumbai. Giving a message to the general public she says that people should not spend much money on crackers and should try to celebrate a peaceful Diwali in order to save the environment from unnecessary noise and air pollution.

Another Doon star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has earned much praise for his remarkable performances by the role of ‘Faizal’ in the movie Gangs of Wasseypur, says that Diwali is the festival of lights and should be celebrated in a safe and peaceful manner. He added that, he disagrees with the group, who relates Diwali with crackers. For me Diwali means celebration, enjoyment and partying with my friends, said Siddiqui.

The Sahab Biwi & Gangster and Zanzeer star, Charanpreet Singh, is very much excited as he has planned to visit his hometown Dehradun this Diwali. Charanpreet said that he is really happy as luckily he has got chance to celebrate with his family members here in Doon. He said that Diwali for me is sweets, celebration and an opportunity of a family get-together.
