BJP's state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev today replied to JMM's press conference saying that first of all, JMM should release the details of outstanding amount year wise to the people of Jharkhand. It should be said that when Shibu Soren was the coal minister, if there was any outstanding amount of coal royalty left, then how much money did he get for Jharkhand.
Pratul also wanted to know from the alliance parties of the Hemant government that when the UPA government was ruling for 10 years, how much was the outstanding amount at that time and how much of that outstanding amount was paid to Jharkhand?
Pratul said that now the schemes announced by JMM before the elections may require more than 2.5 lakh crore rupees. Money is not being available from internal sources, the biggest example of which is that the installment of Rs 2500 of Maiya Samman amount has not been released yet. So now JMM is making excuses to garner sympathy from the public.
Pratul said that Jharkhand BJP is ready to take whatever appropriate step is required for the benefit of Jharkhandis. Whatever correct dues will come out with the consent of the Center and the State, Jharkhand BJP will also take positive steps to pay it. But the government should stop playing fake narratives and juggling figures.
He said that the government should first make it public that Rs 1,36,000 crores it is claiming belongs to which department in which year. Complete detailed details should be given. The matter will not be resolved by the state government just saying that there are coal dues, Samta Judgment dues and land acquisition dues. They should give detailed details of each and every thing in a systematic manner.
Pratul said that the JMM should try to understand the difference between tax and royalty. MP Pappu Yadav's letter mentioned the outstanding amount of tax on coal, whereas the states get royalty on coal, not tax. But the JMM, which got trapped by making big announcements, is now only looking for excuses in front of the public.
Pratul said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is insulting Baba Saheb Ambedkar by opposing the concept of conducting simultaneous elections of states and Lok Sabha given by him in the Constitution. Elections were held uninterrupted from 1951 to 1967. But when the Congress government started going to power in the states, the misuse of Section 356 started.
Pratul said that the biggest question is that when former President Kovind Committee should have asked JMM about their opinion on One Nation One Election, then Jharkhand Mukti Morcha did not give any answer. Today they are opposing it. This is a political double standard.
