On his visit to BHEL, Bhopal on Tuesday, Upinder Singh Matharu, Director (Power) reviewed the ongoing works with all the General Managers and DROs of the unit. He inquired about the equipment being manufactured at the unit and the machines being supplied by Bhopal related to various projects and said that our first priority should be to ensure the quality of these equipment and supply them on time. He also discussed in detail about the orders received from the power sector and future plans.

Later, he addressed the employees, supervisors, trade union representatives and officials in a program organized at cultural hall. On this occasion, Vinay Nigam, Executive Director, (Bhopal & Jhansi) felicitated him with a shawl & shreefal and highlighted his contribution. Thereafter, the office bearers of the trade unions also felicitated Matharu.

Matharu while addressing all the employees said that BHEL has limitless possibilities and the people working here have a bright future. Appreciating the contribution of BHEL, Bhopal in the entire corporation, he said that this unit is unique in itself. Discussing the diversity of products of Bhopal unit, he said that the biggest strength of this unit is that it manufactures important products in the areas of transportation, hydropower, thermal and power transmission. Hence, the unit is fully equipped to meet the demands of the changing market requirements. He also praised the commitment and discipline of the employees here and said that he has been associated with the unit for a long time. He also said that no single person is capable of doing anything alone which is why we have to work as a team. Team work is the only key to success and in fact our identity is due to this establishment only.

Speaking on the occasion, Nigam lauded Matharu for his leadership and guidance in market positioning the products of BHEL's power sector and Bhopal Unit in particular. He mentioned the work done by Matharu as Director (Power) and Director (HR) and said that leaders like him are capable of taking any organization to the top. BHEL has been fortunate to have the leadership of an experienced, dedicated and efficient person like Mr. Matharu.
