Sai Prakash Spiritual Trust holds Jagannath Rath Yatra 2026

Third Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra 2026 mirthfully celebrated at Sai Ka Aangan, Gurugram, organised by Sai Prakash Spiritual and Charitable Trust in association with CBS Cultural Foundation, under the guidance of Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Ji, Gurugram, Haryana, on Thursday.
Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Ji, an internationally respected spiritual thinker, humanitarian, and author for more than three decades, Dr Satpathy Ji making significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of the timeless spiritual and cultural heritage of Lord Shri Jagannath in India and abroad. He initiated the Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra at the Power Grid Temple, Gurugram, in 2009 and subsequently introduced this sacred tradition in the United States through Rath Yatras in Dallas, USA and Nashville, USA in 2011, followed by Houston, USA in 2012.
Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, visited and had darshan of Lord Shri Jagannath, Shri Balabhadra and Maa Subhadra.
Inspired by the vision and guidance of Dr Satpathy Ji, the Rath Yatra was introduced at Sai Ka Aangan in 2024. Within a short span, it has emerged as one of the region’s most awaited annual spiritual celebrations, bringing together devotees from diverse cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds in the spirit of devotion, unity, and universal brotherhood.
The celebrations commenced at 11 am with pre-puja rituals, Rath Pratishtha, followed by sacred ‘Pahandi Bije’ procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Shri Sudarshan at 3:30 pm and followed by the traditional ‘Chhera Pahara’ ceremony, symbolising humility, equality, and selfless service, performed by Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Ji before the ceremonial pulling of the divine chariot.
The festival featured devotional music, traditional cultural performances showcasing the rich heritage of Odisha, and the distribution of prasad, lovingly prepared by traditional Odia cooks from Puri.
