Ramgarh Cantt wins cluster-level debate competition

Army Public School, Ramgarh Cantt emerged winners at the Cluster-Level English Debate Competition hosted by the school, defeating teams from Army Public School Danapur Cantt, Army Public School Gaya and Army Public School Bengdubi.
The competition witnessed spirited participation, with students showcasing confidence, strong arguments, command over language and a clear understanding of the subject. The participants were assessed on clarity of thought, content, presentation, confidence, diction and delivery skills.
Lieutenant Colonel Nirmalendu, S.O., Education Officer, was the chief guest. The judging panel comprised Ratan Kumar Sharma, Dr Harmeet Kaur and Harpreet Kalra, Ramgarh correspondent of The Pioneer.
Army Public School Ramgarh Cantt secured the first position, while Army Public School Danapur Cantt finished runner-up.
The individual awards also went to students from participating schools. Divya Gupta of Army Public School Danapur was adjudged Best Speaker in the ‘For the Motion’ category, while her schoolmate Simran Verma won the Best Speaker award in the ‘Against the Motion’ category. The Best Interjector award was secured by a student of Army Public School Bengdubi.
Addressing the participants during the valedictory session, Lieutenant Colonel Nirmalendu said an effective orator needed thorough research, clarity of thought, precise diction, confidence, compelling delivery and regular practice. He also urged students to look beyond short-term goals and work towards meaningful aspirations.
Principal Pankaj Kumar Jain congratulated the winners and expressed confidence that the school team would maintain its winning momentum at the forthcoming Command-Level Competition.
