Preparations in full swing for upcoming convocation at SKMU
Gearing up for the upcoming convocation ceremony of Sido Kanhu Murmu University, a high-level review meeting of the newly constituted event committees was convened on Monday at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kunul Kandir.
Addressing the convenors and members of the respective panels, the Vice-Chancellor laid down clear operational directives to ensure a seamless execution of the prestigious academic event. Dr. Kandir instructed all committee leads to draft their budgetary requirements in line with the expenditure blueprint of the previous convocation. Stressing fiscal discipline and time-bound delivery, the chair directed that all budgetary proposals must be formally submitted within two days to secure requisite financial and administrative clearances without procedural delays.
The coordination meeting saw extensive participation from the university's key administrative and academic leadership. Prominent attendees included Registrar Dr. Abdus Sattar, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Jainendra Yadav, Finance Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Controller of Examinations Dr. Reena Neelima Lakra, and OSD (Examinations) Dr. Indranil Mandal.
Several senior deans and department heads were also present, including Dean of Social Sciences Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dean of Humanities Dr. Vasant Kumar Gupta, Director of Student Welfare Dr. Poonam Hembram, NSS Director Dr. Poonam Binjha, NCC Officer Dr. Samuel Tudu, along with senior faculty members Dr. Khirodhar Prasad Yadav, Dr. R. S. K. Choudhary, Dr. Ajay Sinha, and Dr. Anil Verma. According to an official communication issued by Director of Public Relations Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, various logistical fronts and departmental responsibilities were thoroughly deliberated to ensure all preparations proceed at an accelerated pace.
