DC directs early recruitment on vacant posts of DCPU unit

An important review meeting of the Social Security and Child Protection Department was held on 05.10.2026 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania. During the meeting, a comprehensive and detailed review was conducted of various social welfare schemes operating in the district, child protection activities, and government facilities being provided to eligible beneficiaries. Necessary and appropriate directions were issued to the concerned officers.
The DC particularly emphasised further strengthening the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU). Expressing serious dissatisfaction with the unit’s current working style, he directed that immediate improvements be made. He issued strict instructions to the concerned officers, stating that the recruitment process for all remaining vacant posts in the unit should be completed at the earliest so that departmental work can be accelerated.
He also conducted a point-wise review of the functioning of government institutions and non-governmental organisations working in the field of social security and child rights in the district. He directed all institutions to work in mutual coordination so that children do not face any inconvenience. The Deputy Commissioner clarified that the benefits of child protection and social security schemes must reach the last person of society with complete transparency.
A detailed review of the current status of the Sponsorship Scheme and various social security pension schemes was specially undertaken. The DC examined the ground reality of the pensions and other government facilities being provided to eligible beneficiaries. He directed the officers in a strict tone to ensure that this deprived and needy section of society receives the benefits of all welfare schemes without any hindrance or delay under all circumstances.
Besides the above, Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, ADSS Sarita Bharti, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, and all related officers and employees of the Child Protection and Social Security Department were present.
