Industrial parks: Technology centre in India proposal stage to pilot scale to production

Industrial sectors in India see a huge hyperscale over the past decade owing to its robust and resilient revamping of policy frame-works and successful implementations. Government of India is continuously seeding micro to macro ideas from people-to-people approach across India and worldwide to develop our Viksit Nation.
India is on the Mission Mode leading to foster Free Trade Agreements [FTAs] with global collaborators boosting in-house demand and supply chain ecosystems. The FTAs would push trade in different sectors like agriculture, energy, oil, critical minerals and many more, and equivalently tap the immense potential of incredibly talented skill pool available in our nation as
India stands out to be Skill Capital of the globe. Industrial parks and cluster rapidly evolved from proposal stage to pilot scale through plug-n-play mechanisms, leading to enhance productivity in India by adapting the best practices of ease of manufacturing. It focusses on various quality measures through MSMEs Mantra-Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) and robust packaging. It has been adopting various measures like setting benchmarks for manufacturing and quality based on global standards. Also, India is a country well known for its ease of business thereby achieving ease and economy of living, ease of affordability by common citizens.
Emerging Parks-Technology Centre: Viksit Infrastructures
Industrial Parks
Earlier India has started initiatives like PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) under National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) across various locations in ourcountry. Government of India is successfully adapting the unique framework model like Samarth (Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles Sector) to activate industrial employment opportunities in textile sectors. India has quickly adapted the innovative ideas and concepts of Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi’s famous 5F forefront vision — which stands for: “Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign” [Land to Market]
It meets the fully integrated supply chain starting from “FARMERS to FOREIGN” thereby elevating our social status and security of our nation. Presently, emerging industrial parks under the umbrella of BHAVYA (called as Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna) recently introduced is a pioneering plug-n-play program that will provide hand holding support for variety of stakeholders to achieve sustainability, social infrastructure, Digital and integrated manufacturing infrastructures. Industrial parks have the primary objective to pump innovation and productivity and foster optics of domestic to international markets, leading to achieve Aatma Nirbhar Bharat for our nation.
Government of India is aiming to establish parks in small to larger scale i.e., micro to medium across every corner of our nation based on the regional strengths and availability of natural resources. The industrial parks are planned to open in tribal areas as well to empower India’s strength of tribal community as well. This will pave the way for the growth of Tribal
communities in terms of productivity, product and process development and most important segment of employment opportunities as well.
The industrial parks will have different elements such as Common testing facility, Sewage Treatment Plants, Centre of Excellence, Environmental clearance which will be strengthened combinedly by State and Central Government.
BHAVYA Scheme is aimed to Strengthen the ease of manufacturing ecosystem of our nation through integrated investments and indigenous industrial infrastructure as well. Hundred Industrial parks will be quickly established at distinct parts of our nation through adding an essential element of offering various incentive benefits to the different stakeholders. This will push the manufacturing and market supply chain for our nation. The scheme is expected to promote technology development, technology acquisition, technology information, knowledge sharing and transfer, human capital development, IP protection, testing and certification services, and significant fund raising for the project’s development. [Source: Letaba, Petrus (2019)]. It will also strengthen the industry-government-university interactions and collaborative partnership as well. The industries will participate through the PPP model framework.
Technology Centre – Industrial Hub
India is moving ahead to develop multifaceted advanced technology centres in India with special focus on introducing massive auto cluster in Auto Nagar in Belagavi, Bengaluru. This is expected to boost the local industrial manufacturing ecosystem. The various components of the auto cluster include industrial training facility, skill development centre, Research and innovation labs, advanced instrumentation and equipment facilities, and a technical education college. It will generate local employment opportunities and strengthen.
“Kalpana to Siddhi for Viksit 2047”.
Government of India is actively and smartly accommodating industrial investment from across the globe thereby develop massive industrial infrastructures and MSME technology centre at various parts of the country. This development proportionately enhances the buyer-seller ratio, research and innovation and make everyone witness the Mantra “Kalpana to Siddhi for Viksit 2047.”
“Manufacturing Mission” program in India is aimed to manage 5Ms:
- Money
- Material
- Method
- Mechanism and most importantly
- Manpower
