Woman IAS officer objects to fourth transfer in one year; says system has 'failed', 'humiliated' her

Bhopal, Sep 7 (PTI) A 2011 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre has objected to her fourth transfer in a year and rued that "conspirators always win" while she loses.

Neha Marvya was among the IAS officials transferred by the Madhya Pradesh government on September 5.

She held the positions of Director of Tribal Area Development Scheme Department, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Employment and Training Council (MEPSET), Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation, and Director of Tribal Research and Development Institute before the reshuffle.

However, in the reshuffle, she was assigned only the responsibility of MD of Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation, leading to Marvya expressing her anguish in a WhatsApp group of the Madhya Pradesh IAS Officers Association.

"I am deeply disturbed to see the transfer list dated September 5, 2026, which once again includes my name. I have been transferred within just 50 days of assuming office. This is the fourth time in a year that my name has appeared on the transfer list," she wrote in the post, which is now circulating on social media.

Marvya said she was "humiliated" by being transferred under the pressure of a "rebellion" by subordinates, adding that "the conspirators always win, and I lose". She claimed the "system" had "failed" her.

Attempts by PTI to contact Marvya as well as Manu Srivastava, president of the Madhya Pradesh IAS Officers Association, were in vain.
