Delhi High Court allows urgent hearing of PIL on Satya Niketan building collapse

The Delhi High Court on Monday permitted the urgent listing of a PIL concerning the building collapse in Satya Niketan that killed six people and left several others injured.
A lawyer mentioned the matter before a bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia, seeking an urgent hearing. The bench allowed the petition to be listed during the day.
During the hearing, the lawyer referred to the incident in South Delhi and said two buildings had collapsed in the Satya Niketan area, with around 30 students feared trapped under the debris.
The building, which housed a boys' paying guest accommodation near Delhi University's South Campus, collapsed on Sunday while repair work was being carried out. (with inputs from PTI)
