Public dialogue is a powerful motivator for social change and development. This was the focus of the lecture given by CEO of Gwalior Zilla Panchayat Vivek Kumar IAS during a Meet- the -Public program held at the International Center of Media Excellence.
Vivek Kumar said that the most important point in the job of an IAS officer is that he gets lots of ideas during interactions with the public. He continued that most of the times the ideas provided by the public are positive and sometimes inspirational too, which prove useful for administrative reforms.
Kumar also said that it is important for officers to meet the public on a regular basis because public communication is a powerful motivator for social change and development.
Earlier, Kumar was felicitated by citizens at (ICOME) for his commendable work in the administrative service. Center Director and prominent social worker Dr. Keshav Pandey in his welcome speech highlighted the commendable administrative works of Kumar. Pandey gave detailed information about the Yojnata App which was the brainchild of Kumar.
The programme was conducted by Mahesh Mudgal and Rajendra Mudgal expressed the vote of thanks.
