In light of ongoing developmental works in the Chakradharpur Division, several trains will be regulated over the coming days. The railway authorities have announced both cancellations and diversions of key train services to ensure the smooth progress of the works.
The Howrah-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express (20871) and its return leg, the Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express (20872), will remain cancelled on four consecutive days—25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th September 2024.
Similarly, the Tatanagar-Brahmapur Vande Bharat Express (20891) will not run from 25th to 28th September 2024, while the return service, Brahmapur-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express (20892), will be cancelled from 26th to 29th September 2024.
In addition, the Tatanagar-Jaynagar Express (18119) scheduled for 27th September 2024 and its return journey, the Jaynagar-Tatanagar Express (18120) on 28th September 2024, will also remain cancelled.
The Puri-Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express (18477) and its return service (18478) will take a diverted route via Jharsuguda-Ib for journeys commencing from 25th to 27th September 2024.
The Durg-Ara Express (13287), for journeys starting from 25th to 27th September 2024, will be diverted via Sindri-Kandra, bypassing Tatanagar. Meanwhile, the Ara-Durg Express (13288), for journeys beginning on 24th to 26th September 2024, will run on a diverted route via Kandra-Sini, also avoiding Tatanagar.
“ Passengers are advised to make necessary travel arrangements and check for updates on these changes to avoid inconvenience during this period of essential developmental work,” said an official.
