Aamir Ali alias Barf, the mastermind who opened fire on tent businessman Nawaz Riaz , has been arrested. The police presented him in the court. From where he has been sent on remand till January 2.
He was absconding after the incident on December 3. He was arrested after 29 days on Sunday.
SI (Sub Inspector) Manoj Rawat said that 3 teams were searching for Aamir Barf. He was constantly changing his locations. After Jhansi, Chhatarpur, the accused has talked about planning escape in Mumbai. He had reached his house in Budhwara to meet his family. As soon as the information was received from the informer, he was surrounded and arrested on Sunday afternoon. He has been produced in the court and taken on remand till January 2, 2024.
If police sources are to be believed, Aamir has made shocking revelations during interrogation. He told that he has a dispute with Nawaz and his brothers regarding the shop. Due to this dispute, Nawaz and his brothers had given contract to murder by paying Rs 5 lakh to the criminal Pappu alias Chatka, living in Roshanpura Gwal Mohalla.
Sources claim that he has also handed over the alleged CCTV footage to the police to prove his point. The footage is being claimed to be from CCTV cameras installed in Sharif Manzil, a building built in Budhwara Square. However, the police believe that Aamir is making such claims to protect himself.
A CCTV footage has gone viral on social media. The date of October 31, 2023 and time of 3:10 am is visible in the footage. It is being claimed that the young man smoking cigarette standing in the crowd of boys is Aamir. Meanwhile, a white Tata Arya car comes and stops. The young man who emerged from it was described as miscreant Pappu Chatka. Then, after a few minutes, a moped stops, on which the tent businessman and his partner are riding. Everyone talks to Aamir together and returns. Exactly 33 days later, on December 3, there was a fatal attack on tent businessman Nawaz.
Before meeting Pappu Chatka, Aamir had entered the Taj tent house and misbehaved with Nawaz. This incident was also captured in CCTV camera. Later, on the basis of the footage, the police registered a case of insolence and intimidation against Aamir. Only after this, on the request of Nawaz, Pappu came to meet Aamir. Here Aamir was misbehaved, in revenge for this Aamir gave Nawaz contract to attack victim.
