A three-member delegation led by Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh met minor rape victim daughter of Jharkhand in Vadodara, Gujarat and enquired about her condition. The team that went with the minister not only enquired about the condition of the girl but also provided financial help to her and handed over a cheque of Rs 4 lakh to the victim's family.
The delegation has demanded the Gujarat government to give the harshest punishment to the accused of rape. Minister Deepika Pandey Singh along with IG Suman Gupta, Director Social Welfare Kiran Pansi had gone to Gujarat to meet the girl.
A minor girl resident of Jharkhand was raped in Jhagadia GIDC area of Bharuch, Gujarat last day. After which the victim girl is being treated from Ankleshwar Hospital to Bharuch Civil and then to Vadodara's SSG Hospital. After getting information about the case, the Chief Minister sent a team led by Minister Deepika Pandey Singh to Vadodara to provide help to the girl.
It is known that the Jharkhand government has always been sensitive towards the people of Jharkhand living in the state and the migrants. At present, the accused has been arrested by the local police and further action is being taken.
