PM releases 17th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi fund

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday released the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits to the beneficiary farmers in Varanasi during his one-day visit. The scheme was launched in February 2019. Online transfer of Rs 20 thousand crore to nine crore 26 lakh beneficiary farmers was made.

On the occasion, today at the auditorium of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramakrishna Ashram, Ranchi, distribution of certificates to Krishi Sakhis as agricultural para extension workers was made apart from common people, agriculture related experts were also present in large numbers.

On this occasion, people watched the address of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi live online from Varanasi. On this occasion, MLA of Kanke Assembly constituency Shri Samri Lal, Director of ICAR Atari Patna Dr. Anjani Kumar, Secretary of Ramakrishna Ashram Ranchi Swami Bhaveshanand, Program Manager of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) Sanjay Bhagat were also present. The people present listened carefully to the information given in the online address of the Prime Minister from Varanasi. After his address, certificates were given to 10 Krishi Sakhis by the Chief Guest Shri Samri Lal at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ranchi, while other 228 who have taken training from this center will be given certificates later.

In his address, the chief guest Samri Lal said that the Prime Minister has started his third term by approving the Kisan Vikas Yojanas, which is an indication of how eager the Government of India is for the welfare of the farmer.

Speaking at the ceremony, Swami Bhaveshanand, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, urged people to adopt the organic farming process. Giving examples of ancient Indian texts like Ramayana, Mahabharata etc., he told that in the culture of our country, the goal of farmer welfare was one of the foremost priorities of the king. He said that the country will be able to become developed only with the development of the farmer.

Meanwhile, State BJP President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said that sending Rs 3 lakh 24 thousand crore through DBT to the accounts of 9.25 crore farmers of the country with the 17th installment is a world record of welfare schemes for farmers.

He said that PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a support sent at the right time in a transparent manner, which proves to be very helpful to the farmers for farming. He said that lakhs of farmers of Jharkhand are also continuously benefiting from this scheme.

He said that the Modi government has been committed and dedicated for the welfare of farmers since its first term. Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri said that the village is the soul of India, farmers are the heartbeat of the village. He said that farmers are the food providers. If the food providers of India are happy then the country is happy.

He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan for the 17th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi.
