Quite recently the chief minister Hemant Soren has asked the DCs and all concerned to raise state revenue collection.
Tutu Singh told "Palamu Zila Parishad has an outstanding dues worth around 4 crores of rupees with 942 shops under it across the district. This pending amount is in respect of the rent. The shop owners are just sleeping over the payment of the rent."
"There is an account for the rent with the IDBI branch Daltonganj. The IDBI branch officials are to collect the rent or the shop owners are to deposit the rent straight way." informed the vice president.
Sources said it would have been a great taxation for the Palamu Zila Parishad to deploy rent collection agency so it asked its banker IDBI branch to do the needful.
Sources said the defaulter shop owners have little time and space to further sit over the unpaid rent.
The defaulter shop owners have been asked to start depositing their long pending rent dues without fail.
