A two-day Surveillance audit by M/s IR Class System & Solution, Mumbai as per ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 standards began today at BHEL, Bhopal.

The audit started with a meeting in the conference room of Health, Safety and Environmental Engineering Department.

Additional General Manager (HSE), Heeralal Bharani welcomed all the participants present in the meeting and in his welcome address, he said that systems are very important for any institution and after the implementation of the system, the related processes become very easy. Safety and environment are being taken very seriously under the leadership of the Executive Director.

M/s IR Class's Lead Auditor, Mahendra Patil explained the outline of ISO-45001 and ISO-14001 audit, he said that the audit will be done on the basis of sampling and suggestions will be given for improving the system. He hoped that full cooperation will be received from the officers and employees of BHEL Bhopal.

The program was chaired by Avinash Chandra, General Manager (TCB-Operation, WEX, MOD, and LGX), BHEL Bhopal. Chandra, while addressing the meeting, said that BHEL Bhopal is familiar with the audit procedures for more than 20 years, he said that two-way communication is required for any audit to be successful.

He assured the auditors that whatever deficiencies or suggestions will be pointed out, they will be acted upon positively as soon as possible. He appealed to all the officers to participate with full enthusiasm in successfully completing this audit.

Department heads, HSE officers and officials were also present in the program. The program was conducted by Rajkumar Meena, Manager (HSE).
