Actually, a woman reached the OPD of Bhopal AIIMS due to swelling in her throat and difficulty in breathing. The investigation confirmed goiter in the woman. It was so big that the woman was having serious breathing trouble. In such a situation, the doctors of the General Surgery Department decided to remove it by performing an operation. This was extremely difficult as it involved removing the goiter while preserving the food pipe, airways and nerves present in the throat.
After thorough planning, the team of doctors decided to give a new life to the 56-year-old woman who was suffering from a large goiter for a long time. Surgery was started for this. The aim of which was to eliminate the difficulty in breathing while maintaining the beauty of the woman's face. Specialist doctors successfully completed the 3-hour long operation without any complications.
