The first day of the much-anticipated Jharkhand General Graduate Qualification Combined Competitive Examination-2023, organized by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, concluded smoothly across the district. The exam, held at 82 centers, saw 8,405 candidates out of a total of 23,368 registered participants, with no reports of misconduct or disruptions.
Under the vigilant leadership of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, senior administrative and police officers closely monitored the examination process. Officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, ADM SOR Mahendra Kumar, and NEP Director Ajay Sao, conducted inspections, ensuring all procedures were followed meticulously.
To maintain the integrity of the examination, a robust security plan was implemented. Each center was equipped with sufficient police personnel and magistrates, including static magistrate-cum-examination center supervisors, to oversee the process. Flying squads were deployed to patrol the venues, and prohibitory orders were imposed within 100 meters of all examination centers to deter any interference by anti-social elements.
In addition to the on-ground security measures, the district administration utilized advanced monitoring techniques, including CCTV surveillance and real-time oversight from a district-level control room, to track the proceedings and ensure that no malpractice occurred.
Ahead of the second day of the examination on September 22, the district administration has further tightened security protocols. Inspections are being conducted at hotels, guest houses, and hostels, with operators receiving formal guidelines to prevent any potential malpractices.
“ This successful, incident-free start is a testament to the thorough planning and execution by the district authorities, setting a positive tone for the remaining days of the examination,” said an official.
