Former MP and senior Congress leader, Dr Ajoy Kumar, met Jharkhand's Advocate General, Rajiv Ranjan, on Wednesday to discuss the urgent issue regarding the notice from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to demolish 150 houses along the riverbank, including those in Kalyan Nagar and Indranagar of Bhuiyandih.
Kumar reported that the meeting involved a detailed discussion about the NGT's notice and the state's response. The Advocate General assured that not a single house would be allowed to be demolished. To support this, the state government plans to file an affidavit with the NGT soon.
"The government is very sensitive to this matter," Kumar said. "Efforts are being made at every level to address this issue." He also mentioned that a petition has been filed in Ranchi High Court by 150 residents of Bhuiyandih against the NGT's notice.
Addressing the residents of Bhuiyandih, Dr. Ajoy Kumar urged them not to be swayed by rumors or external influences. "As long as the India Alliance government is in power in Jharkhand, not a single house in Bhuiyandih will be allowed to be demolished," he asserted. "We are ready to fight at every level. Please stand firmly with us with faith and patience."
His commitment and the government's proactive approach provide a ray of hope for the residents of Bhuiyandih, who now await the upcoming legal steps and government interventions to secure their homes.
