CMD, CMPDI Manoj Kumar, launched CMPDI's, flagship CSR initiative,"Badthe Kadam: Elimination of disability from Clubfoot in Children of Jharkhand State" at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Hospital, Ranchi on Saturday. After launching the project, Kumar interacted with the beneficiaries at RIMS hospital. Achyut Ghatak, Director (T/RD&T) and other senior officials from CMPDI were present.
CMPDI on 24th January 2024 signed an Memorandum of Association (MoA) with Cure India Foundation, New Delhi for the project, "Badhte Kadam: Elimination of disability from Clubfoot through Ponseti method in children of Jharkhand State" amounting to Rs.93 lakhs for the FY 2023-27. This is the first of its kind of project being taken up by CMPDIL for treatment of 500 children and supporting towards elimination of clubfoot in the Jharkhand State.
The treatment of clubfoot patients will be done in following govt. hospitals i.e Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi; District Hospital, Ranchi; Bokaro General Hospital, Bokaro; Patliputra Medical College and Hospital, Dhanbad; Hazaribagh Medical College and Hospital, Hazaribagh; Palamu Medical College and Hospital, Medininagar; District Hospital, Chaibasa and AIIMS, Deoghar.
