Friday, 19 July 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi Education Minister Atishi on Thursday met with over 200 principals from state government and its aided schools at Kalkaji’s Veer Savarkar Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in a bid to elevate education standards in the schools in the current session.

During the meeting, the principals shared how they increased the attendance of children in their schools by adopting unique methods, improved the results of children by giving individual attention, worked to change their habits, guided teachers and created a great learning environment in the school, and made parents partners in the studies of children.

Addressing the principals, Atishi affirmed, “The biggest change in any school can be brought about by the principal there. The changes in the school will be seen in the direction in which the principal leads the school. School’s environment is similar to the personality of a principal.”

She mentioned that Delhi government schools have come a long way in the last 10 years. “Be it infrastructure or teaching environment, everyone is aware of the changes in our schools. All these changes have come due to the hard work of our education team and as a result, today Delhi government schools have emerged among the top schools in the country and now our target should be to put our schools among the top schools in the world,” she affirmed.

Atishi shared that to achieve this target, all the principals will have to ensure that every child coming to their school gets a quality education and that every child in the school performs better.  The minister directed the officials that if there is a shortage of teachers in any school in the new session, it should be resolved immediately. “No compromise will be tolerated regarding the education of children in Delhi Government schools,” she asserted.
