A man killed his co-worker at a food outlet in east Delhi's Preet Vihar after they had a fight resulting in the accused hitting the victim’s head with a dumbbell.
According to the police on Thursday, the incident occurred at a food corner, namely ‘Didi Food Corner’, owned by one Tripta Rastogi.
According to police, they received a PCR call at Preet Vihar police station from Rastogi that two of her employees, Suraj and Prakash around 2 am got into a scuffle during which Suraj reportedly struck Prakash on the head with a dumbbell and fled.
Rastogi got the call at 2:30 am about the incident and rushed to the restaurant where she found Prakash bleeding profusely. She bandaged his head with a cloth and told everyone that treatment will be done in the morning. She rushed him to a nearby clinic and from there to Hedgewar Hospital at 10:00 am where he was declared dead.
"We have registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the accused and further investigation has been launched. A crime team inspected the scene, recovering the alleged weapon used in the attack," a senior police officer said.
