Acting on a complaint of a school-going girl in the North District was deprived of essential TB medicines due to the carelessness of a DOTS Plus Supervisor, the Delhi government’s health department has terminated the supervisor within 24 hours, sending a strong message that such lapses will not be tolerated. Also the girl was provided with all the prescribed medicines.
The department reiterates its dedication to ensuring the well-being of TB patients and has implemented additional measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. This proactive approach underscores its resolve to make the 100 Days TB Campaign a success and ensure 100% intolerance regarding negligence in patient care.
