Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh, a philanthropic organization, is set to host a cultural soiree on August 28th, coinciding with the last Monday of the Sawan month. The event will feature a performance by renowned singer Kalpana Patwari and is expected to attract an audience of over 20,000 people at the Sakchi Gurudwara ground.
The founder of the organization, Amarpreet Singh Kale, announced that this event has been a tradition for the past 22 years on Antim Sombari. To ensure a successful event, the organizers are making elaborate arrangements, including the construction of a waterproof pandal spanning 30,000 square feet. Special illuminations will also adorn Kalimati Road in front of Sakchi Gurdwara.
One of the highlights of the function will be the presentation of the Sangh Ratna Seva Award, which was established a few years ago to recognize professional excellence and distinguished service. The names of the awardees will be unveiled on August 25th.
Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh has a history of hosting events on the last Monday of Shravan. Notable artists such as Bhojpuri singer Bharat Sharma, bhajan singer Lakhbir Singh Lakkha, and Bhojpuri singers Manoj Tiwari, Kalpana Patwari, and Devi have graced the grounds with their performances.
Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh had been organising function on the last Monday of Shravan. Bhojpuri singer Bharat Sharma had performed at the grounds while noted bhajan singer Lakhbir Singh Lakkha had mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice in 2009.
Kale said that various social welfare activities are being carried out throughout the year and blanket distribution is equally most sought after initiative. The purpose of distributing blankets to the needy spreads the message of sympathy, love and sacrifices to the society.
Sharing his experience, Kale says, “ Like every year this year too, the drive will be organised. We are happy to witness the overwhelming response. I have watched the drive become more successful each year as members of the sangh open their hearts to help both the homeless and those struggling to make ends meet".
