The second list of Congress candidates for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections is likely to be released on Wednesday.
This was hinted at by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and PCC chief Deepak Baij who earlier left for New Delhi to attend a Congress meeting.
"A meeting will be held for finalizing candidates for some of the remaining seats. Then we will request the party high command to release all the names of the remaining nominees as soon as possible,” Baij said.
Baij also accused the BJP of trying to spread hatred in view of the upcoming elections.
"They always spit venom. For the last five years, they (Modi government) tried to disrupt welfare schemes in the state and now they are spreading lies and venom. But it will have no impact," he said.
"The Congress will register a historic win in the election," he said.
Polling for the 90-member assembly will be held on November 7 and 17.
