Ruling party in the State Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Wednesday, attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for setting new trends in the State by levelling allegations on the State Government that the Government is taking the Opposition's opinion in filling vacant posts of State Government’s Commission. JMM suggested BJP to elect senior MLA, CP Singh as Leader of Opposition.

Addressing a press meet at the party headquarter, JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the State BJP Leaders met the Governor on Tuesday. “They should elect a party leader for the Opposition. How they can raise questions without a leader. The Governor returned after his Santhal Pargana visit now he will visit Kolhan, Palamu, Koylanchal and South Chotanagpur and he is only addressing the Central Government’s scheme but he is not talking about the State Government’s schemes,” he added.

“The State Government’s important schemes like Didi Badi, Adarsh School, Savitribai Phule Scheme, Sarvajan Pension and others he only says schemes like lavatory, Gas Burner and others. Then what will the Union Ministers do when they will visit the State. It is a hearty desire that in 2024 Governor, CP Radhakrishnan should administer oath to Chief Minister, Hemant Soren. This is so because he is visiting several places and his experience will surely benefit the State and its people,” said Bhattacharya.

The party Spokesperson said that BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP is demanding to sack the Speaker of the State. “Prakash is saying that the Speaker is a fourth grade temporary staff member. The Governor is the highest Constitutional Authority of State.  The Governor’s work is to advise the State Government and on the advice of the State Government the Governor has to put forward his words. On the advice of the Council of Ministers the Governor will put forward the statement for the financial year 2024-25,” he added.

Bhattacharya further said that the BJP started a new trend that establishment day of West Bengal was observed. Establishment day is also observed in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh also. In West Bengal even Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee was not invited. In the inauguration of Vande Bharata train programme only Prime Minister’s and Governor’s photo published in newspaper's advertisement then what is needed to invite Jharkhand Chief Minister and Bihar Chief Minister.
